CO-AX Accelerator is a key deep tech partner in the prestigious Berkeley Deep Tech Innovation Lab at the University of California, USA. This partnership aims to accelerate the growth of cutting-edge deep tech startups both in Sweden and in the Nordics, by connecting them with interdisciplinary student teams in UC Berkeley's Deep Tech Commercialization Strategies course.
Through this collaboration, Swedish deep tech startups selected by Sahlgrenska Science Park will benefit from a comprehensive 360-degree analysis conducted by UC Berkeley students. These analyses will focus on identifying viable commercialization pathways into the U.S. market, providing startups with invaluable insights and strategic direction.
Sahlgrenska Science Park joins an elite group of partners, including Berkeley Lab, NASA Ames Research Center and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, to support Berkeley students in transforming deep tech innovations from the lab to the marketplace.
Siddhartha Khandelwal, Investor Relations, says, ”Our collaboration with UC Berkeley's Deep Tech Innovation Lab is a testament to the power of global collaborations in catalyzing market entry of cutting-edge deep tech innovations in life science. We will expand this initiative to include startups from across the Nordics giving them a unique chance to evaluate their technologies for U.S. market entry.”
In the first edition, two companies from Sahlgrenska Science Park — BrainLink and VentriLabs — participated in the course, with additional Nordic startups set to join future cohorts.
Dan Farahmand, CEO of BrainLink, says, ”Being part of this program was incredibly valuable for us. We received promising insights that I’m confident will help us accelerate our go-to-market plans in the U.S.”
